Foggy Peak-A Little Speed Ascent

Jane and I stopped off at Porters Pass last weekend on our way back up to Cheeseman for a quick ski. It's just over 2km from hwy 73 to the summit of Foggy Peak via Foggy Peak Ridge and 800m vertical. Not quite Mustagh Ata or Gasherbrum II, but we did a C-S-C (car to summit to car) time of 1hr11mins. Sub 1hr is totally do-able!

"The skier who forsakes the lifts to climb under his own power to a mountain summit is a very different person from the downhill only piste basher and is often regarded by the latter as something of a curiosity.
But he was the creator of the sport; and possibly with him lies the future"
-Robin Fedden, The book of Europen Skiing, 1966
